1) Dress warmly. I wear 5 layers myself and it is going to be very cold outside. Even if you think it is warm, you can take layers off instead of freezing your but off. If you feel too cold, tell us and we will pick up your slack while you run into the Hotel Lobby to warm up.
2) Do not worry about bringing fliers. We have some at our website. (

3) Respect the law. This is a rally, not a riot. We do not want a negative image at this event. We will tell you when you get there what property lines to walk on and if so, deal with the authorities in an appropriate manner. Here is a video detailing if they give you trouble, which we do not think they will, but you never know:

::Incentive::
Not only will you be doing a good thing, but we are going to have FREE DONUT HOLES for people who show up! That and we expect media attention, so if you ever wanted to be in the papers or on TV, this is your chance!
::About Us::
The Hotel Pennsylvania was built in 1919 and has a very rich history. It has been home to many a "big band" concert in its early years and was the inspiration for the famous Glenn Miller song "PEnnsylvania 6-5000," a phone number that still rings at the Hotel Pennsylvania switchboard. The building itself is filled with hidden corridors, rooms, and even floors. Being right across the street from Penn Station (New York's main train station), it's extremely easy to get to for those coming to New York for the first time. And because it's not an overly expensive place to stay, it's proven very popular for travelers from all over the world.
In early 2007, the real estate firm Vornado Realty Trust announced plans to demolish the hotel, replacing it with an office tower and a generic box of ads, forever destroying part of our city's cultural history in favor of what critics call "Times Square Junior."
We at the Save Hotel Penn Foundation believe there is already enough Times Square a few blocks uptown, and that our city cannot afford to repeat the mistake of 1964 and Penn Station on any level. We are currently working closely with the New York City Government and the local community to get the Hotel Pennsylvania preserved as a landmark protecting it against demolition.
