Thanks everyone for a great and stimulating barbecue! I am still thinking about what really enhances and takes away from my quality of life, sense of purpose, and feelings of joy, meaning and fulfillment.

The topic for September is taxation. Start thinking and running ideas and perspectives by your freinds and associates. I am really looking forward to this.

      “ Elizabeth and I enjoyed listening to people who didn't just offer opinions--make pronouncements--but who were truly informed about the various ways in which a philosophy of taxation could go.I was pleasantly surprised about how such a dollars- and-cents issue could be " philosophical" in terms of the issues and values that contextualize it. We also have nothing but admiration for the brilliant way in which Patricia gathered up all the various strands of the arguments and focused the group on the major issues. Lawrence and Elizabeth ”
