We are doing something different in August! Instead of our usual meeting on the second Monday, we will have a Summer Barbecue at the home of two of our members on the 3rd Sunday of August. The topic is anything that comes to mind as you experience a relaxing, convivial gathering with food and drinks. You can also take advantage of the swimming pool. Of course, you can challenge any idea at any time, so as usual be prepared for extreme curiosity, novel perspectives and random opportunities to have fun. RSVP as soon as you can, so we can plan for the correct headcount. If the headcount is high and we need you to bring specific items, we will let you know. Stay tuned for more updates. I am really looking forward to this.

On a professional note, please take a look at my web site, www.propertyeducator.com that outlines my credentials, awards and services. In times like these, I make an extra effort to educate about my services. I provide residential, rental and commercial lease services and analysis (including NY and global referrals), so let me know if you have a question or need.

Have a great week.

The yard was great and the food was wonderful too. Great place to have these!

Many people seem to require that their lives have more than their own internal meaning: they want them to have transcendent meaning, a kind of giant seal of approval from outside, or beyond, that validates their existence with some profound purpose. Does "The Meaning of Life." need to depend upon the latter condition to make it valid and worthwhile? What do you think? Question submitted by Larry Shaffer.

    •  Our hosts, Barbara and Jeremy provided members with a gourmet barbeque followed by a luscious dessert which was augmented by various other foods brought by guests. The discussion that followed the barbeque was thought provoking. This was a delightful experienece both intellectually and gastronomically.Bravo to our hosts, Facilitator, Patricia and all the members that attended! Elizabeth and Larry
    •  Very nice setting, good food, nice people. Only frustrating part is when the discussion got hijacked into discussing conspiracy theories. While Patricia did try hard to keep it on track, must make it clear in the future at the beginning of each discussion, we are going to stick to topic. Also, if we ever get to hold another meeting at this site or any other place with as nice a pool as here, let's hold the discussion around the pool. We can still sit in a circle facing each other, and people can put their feet in the water or take a brief swim. Sitting in 90 deg. heat while a pool is a few yards away is just torture.
